Rep

I created a series of illustrations for the first issue of Rep.

Rep is a new magazine dedicated to cultivating equitable designers of emerging technology. It is a Stanford d.school initiative.

Rep aims at helping young people understand how emerging technologies work and how they can equip themselves to ask better questions, design equitable technologies and become better at understanding their own biases as designers and creators.

The first issue of Rep, “Help! I need some BOT-y” is focused on voice bots like Siri, Google Home, or Alexa. Young people and educators to design with emerging technologies will wrestle with how their identity, race, and social status shape the tools they put into the world.
